Looking back

Well the Europa League didn't disappoint me. 2 bets, 2 wins and both bets with odds way above 2. I did restrict myself to betting on teams I know, so a lot of upsets were avoided.

Looking forward

A game in both of the competitions I decided to follow. So 2 bets will be placed. Let's discover which they are and why!

The transfermarkt is officially closed for incoming transfers in the Premier League, so it is time to focus on the opener of the Premier League. Manchester United vs Leicester.

United did end second last season, while Leicester had more or less an anonymous season resulting in the 9th place.

Last season this match was also played pretty early in the season, and United kept the 3 points at home with a 2-0 victory. From the last 4 confrontation in Manchester, Leicester only was capable to draw once and lost the other 3 games. So United is based on this a big favorite.

I am pretty confident that United will win again. I do believe all the complaining Mourinho was doing. I also look at the over, but United is a team which does step back when they do have comfortable lead, so I will stay away from the over.

The money line odds for a United win are too low with 1.519. The asian handicap United -1, looks more appealing with odds of 1.927. Remember that United kept the sheet clean last season at 12 home games. For the home game the scored an average of 2 goals per game and only got 9 goals against (that's 0.47 per game).

Manchester United -1 will be my pick for 1 unit with odds of 1.927!

In Belgium we already are with round 3 of the regular championship! Round 3 will be kicked off by Club Brugge (Current Champion) who will host the game against Kortrijk.

Club Brugge won their first 2 fixtures but lost their head striker with a foolish red card last week, he is facing a ban of 6 weeks.
Kortrijk, still needs to bad their first victory. Last week they had a scoreless draw away on Antwerp and the first game was lost at home against Anderlecht.

In the past 3 season Kortrijk lost all 3 fixtures away in Brugge. And also this year they will loose again. The bigger question is how many goals will be scored. All the 3 past games did end in an over.

There is no use in betting on Club Brugge to win moneyline because the odds are only 1.259. After a long deliberation with myself I will go for the following bet, be warned it is a risky one, but I do think that Club Brugge can overcome an Asian Handicap of -2.

Club Brugge -2 with odds of 2.311 will be my bet!
