Fullcoverbetting's World Cup Contest: leaderboard
Good morning all,
Like you have noticed I did slow down the publication of the leaderboard. Not that I did find a bug in the excel, I just want to build up the tension.
But without any further delay, here is the new leaderboard.
23 of the 64 games are played. Russia, Uruguay, France and Croatia did already qualify for the second round. So if you do have these in your entry, they will keep to continue scoring points.
Egypt did not and 98 players did have Egypt in their entry! Peru didn't loose in their 15 games in front of the world cup but lost their first 2 games and are eliminated but only 5 players picked Peru!
Morocco, also eliminated, was selected 41 times!

Good question. Wasn't fully awake when I wrote this I guess! Nigeria still has a chance to progress to the second round. You are correct about that!

How do you transfer the table from Excel to Steem post? I am using concatenate function to format markdown cells in one Excel column and then copy-paste it into the post.
Same here. The strange things is that when I do it for the own laptop I do need to paste it first into a text file and than on the steem editor. Otherwise I posts a picture.
When I do the same from the office laptop, I can copy paste directly from excel into the steem editor!
Probably has to do with windows 10 on the private laptop!
I don't know how the paste image code is working. With me, when I paste text it always pastes both the text and the text as an image. Then I delete the image URL. I am so used to it now that I completely forgot about this glitch :)
We could write a tutorial on How to easily transfer tables from Excel to Steem :)
I use https://www.tablesgenerator.com/markdown_tables to generate my tables. It allows you to copy-paste from Excel so it's pretty easy. Their editor isn't the most friendly though.

From 21 to 60, at least I am still above the 50% mark I guess I mean 60 out of 173 positions is not to bad, I think there are more tied positions below 60 than there are above 60 so still not bad for a novice. I'll need to go see if peru and Nigeria were picks of mine or not. I can't remember. Still a lot of games left, still a chance to have a higher finish, I hope, we'll see.

It all depends on the coefficients of the team. When round 2 starts lots of changes will take place in the ranking. No doubt about it!
