Why do we have christians who never smile and are boring to be with? Is holiness synonymous to a life without vibes? Of course not.

Throughout scripture, our God is presented as a happy God. God is love ; His kingdom is characterized by Joy in the HOLYGHOST .

If this is true as stated in scripture, why then are we not happy people? The simple reason may be that we have learnt the wrong notion of shooting things out of proportion.

We may have become specialists in spiritualizing matters that we tend to describe any atmosphere that is filled with joy as unserious and carnal- a gathering of the immature in faith. It is very surprising that you expect the world to be happy and you ,sober,collected and unmoved.

Turn with me to:
Psalms 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

Very clearly, the path of life that God has designed for us is that which brings us to a point of fullness of joy - body ,soul and spirit. Our God is a God of pleasure.

The Israelites won some of their greatest battles by just been happy and full of joy as they sang praises to the Almighty God and matched towards the camp of the enemy to assert victory.

We must know that everything that gives pleasure and is enjoyable is a direct creation of God. However,the enemy seeks to pervert and distort what God has created to be pure and undistorted.

We must therefore not fail to arise to the challenge of restoring pleasure to the earth as defined by God. So therefore, take out time today ,crack jokes that edify ,laugh ,play around with your loved ones, write your fiancé a note today ,go to a dance class ,take yourself out,do something that makes you happy.

You are a child of God and happiness with joy are only natural heritages of your bloodline.
