Steemfest 3
My road to Steemfest
I kind of 'missed the train' for this hashtag, it seems.
I hope I don't miss my train to Krakow.
Before I dive into this week's topic, let me introduce myself quickly:
@felixxx
This will be my third Steemfest.
I am an early adopter, and one of the few, who still stick around.
I have not powered down and for more than 2 years I have been curating, commenting and blogging.
I also run for witness and have developed and operate a non-profit-style bot, that has redistributed quite a good chunk of stakes so far. (@deutschbot)
I am also the initiator of @steem.camp - (which is not a challenge to @steemfest)
Business or Pleasure ?
Amsterdam and Lisbon would have been pleasure trips even without Steemfest.
Krakow in November ? I am not sure.
Right after I had joined Steem in 2016, I went to the first STEEM meetup ever.
This was before the first Steemfest.
On the train ride there, I asked myself the same question.
If it was a business trip, then it was the most exciting one I had so far.
Normally, I do not carry a set of good clothes with me on business trips, but high visibility gear, steeltoes, gloves and tools. Catering, sightseeing, clean toilet facilities are not part of the business trips I usually have.
More formally, a business trip comes with a job, mission or task ...
On Steemfest, I will not be on a mission.
Before, I was perhaps stressing myself a bit too much sometimes, trying to talk to as many people as possible. By now, I already know a bunch of Steemians and it will be mostly meeting old friends ( some of whom I have never met in real life before - Steem is funny like that )
As for the pleasure part, I am really looking forward to trying out the food:

For the rest, I will just lay back and trust roelandp.
Liquid rewards from this post will be donated to @steemfest.
Hope to see you there,

Hey man so good to see you jumping in the tag :D
Cracow is really beautiful, but I wouldn't be sure about the weather in November. It may get cold.
Apart from the food recommended in the top10 list (which isn't all Polish food, but that's of course ok) - if you want to try Polish, I'd recommend:
All of which you should be able to get in any restaurant offering Polish cuisine. Vegetarian is generally a bit difficult in Poland, vegan...well...

o.O
What kind of business trips are you used to?
Sounds like some field trips I went onto in the past.
But I would not have called them business trips.
More work experience!
:))
I will not attend Steemfest, as I will be in Poland the days after it, and that would have a big impact on other events, if I would not be home before that one.
Ahh, Nobody died from a little bit of cold! I am sure you will find plenty of pleasure (not the sexual way) from being in Krakow with fellow Steemians! That street food looks amazing though lol.
I hope you are going to keep us updated while you are there(or after)!
:(
Well maybe, how would I know?? haha:)
;-) I wish you a real good time whatever there may occure....
