that would indeed be a nice feature, instead of having people giving a silly comment and upvoting themselves to show up on top and hope that others vote for them as well.
It is also true that there are less people with higher reps just writing "nice post, upvote me and I will follow you"
maybe adding a wordcount and setting it to a certain amount of words to filter out the rest? like anything with 10 words or less is automatically sorted down. (no idea if this would be possible though)
I will admit that I do tend to upvote my own post when I feel that what I write is substantial and I’d like some sort of feedback. It may be perceived as selfish or taking advantage of the system. But that is an option of the system which is in place for a reason, we must assume or accept. I wouldn’t want someone to notice me just to upvote me unless they actually read my post and actually believed it was valuable.
