La administración de Arrakis es transferida por el emperador de la noble Casa de Harkonnen a la Casa Atreides. Los primeros no quieren abandonar sus privilegios, y a través de traiciones y sabotajes, destierran al joven duque Paul Atreides al duro entorno del planeta para que muera. Su lucha se encuentra en el epicentro de un nexo de poderosas personas e importantes sucesos.
"Su éxito fue rotundo; en 1966 ganó el Premio Hugo y en 1965 la primera edición del Premio Nébula a la mejor novela de ciencia ficción".

I highly recommend reading "Dune". It's a great book, but not because it is enjoyable. It is because it is challenging, not difficult to read. It challenges what you think is "difficult" in your life and gives you hope that you can overcome it.
