Eel fish belong to Anguillidae family
Habitat
Eel fish grow freshwater (rivers and lakes) to reach adulthood after that adult eel fish will migrate to the deep sea to perform reproduction. Spawning larvae will develop and gradually drift along the coastal waters. Eel fish that reach the elver stadia will stretch from the waters of the sea to the fresh water through the mouth of the river. Ruaya anadromus eel larvae (elver) associated with the seasons. Seed
Eel fish seeds are cultivated in Tambak consists of two types: Anguilla marmorata and Anguilla bicolor. Both eels are expected to represent the two native fish habitats of Anguilla marmorata and Anguilla bicolor representing the waters.
The physical appearance of Anguilla marmorata can be distinguished from Anguilla bicolor especially on the back and abdomen. Anguilla marmorata has a black and patterned skin color (flower) with white belly. As for Anguilla bicolor has a color black back skin with a yellowish white belly.
Eel fish have been sexually separated. The physical differences between males and females can be seen after eels have reached adult size where the males have eyes wider than females at the same length, weight and age.
