Downvote Bit Bots and Solutions Against Them
Introduction
We know that Steemit is the land of opportunity and sometimes abusers hide behind their computers to increase their ego. Yesterday and today I was a victim of downvotes bots to decrease the payout from the reward pool.
Downvote bid bots
The typical profile of those bots they have low Steem Power and a huge amount of Steem delegation on their profile. Those bots do not bring any value for the following reasons:
- Shitty Steemit profiles that are not active and do not bring value.
- Hurt people feeling.
- Do not justify themselves for the reason of their actions.
Emotions and the way of acting
The first one is the one that hurt the most, then you need to realize that it is best not to act the same way as their actions. When you are angry, you hurt yourself and not them.
It is always important to take a step back and see the whole picture in action. War and fight back, it is something what they want, those people have an empty heart and the urge of attention!
Upgrade the flag option
The team of Steemit needs to upgrade this feature through a smart contract. The way I see it when someone wants to downvote your content, he needs to put a valid reason. Then the person has the right to justify themselves through a clear process.
The actual flag option is not good for the main adoption of Steemit.
Positive thinking
I try to see this as a challenge and stay positive no matter what. I have the philosophy to always find solutions and to understand the reasons behind it.
Last word
If this happens to you, don't let the downvote bit bots drain your energy. It is not worth your time, energy and kills your motivation to posts. The worst that could happen is to have a post of 0 cents!
The best approach is to stay positive and find solutions.
I too have been a victim of sadkitten and the army of flagbots that accompany him twice!
I now delegate most of my sp.
These bots are harming steemit, discouraging new Steemians and no doubt many have left because of it.
Like you say you've got to stay positive and find solutions as hard as it may be...
I will continue and is and not those bots that will stop me in my path here and in the crypto world.
I have also been downvoted once by a bot. The only reason was that they didn't like the poster of the article. Everyone got downvoted if you put a remark under the article!!!!

I guess you mainly seem to only comment on my posts so I guess the trick is to avoid excessive/any interaction with the haters. lol

It is not a way of acting to downvote people if another blogger does not like the creator.
Some downvotes bots like @cheetah is needed.
It's really a double edged sword.

Cheetah is for copyright and avoids plagiarism on Steemit.
That's still tricky, since most people on the Internet copy stuff from each other. Of course one should not copy whole articles without referencing the author.
Keep it positive bro. Don't let the bots bring you down. This is really shitty. Steem really needs active users right now. What a crime.
As always, every challenge brings more fuel to succeed in the crypto world.

Yes, you've raised right points and it should not happen because we are putting our hard work and in response of hard work downvotes are not the return. And I've highlighted this stuff in some discussions about the justification option in Flag section and for sure this option will going to improve the Steem Ecosystem. Stay blessed. 🙂
