The American steel tariffs won't help, let alone other tariffs the Americans put on them.
The thing is - I've read that France is determined that Brexit should be harsh on Britain. Will Germany be able to over-rule them?
Merkel is weak compared to Macron so far, so France has the best of the relationshop. Of course if it all goes wrong (French unemployment doesn't improve) then all bets are off.
