Thanks for the explanation @sbi-booster ... I was unaware of the "dust threshold" but discovered it when I went and read some FAQs.
P.S. What I didn't discover though was info re bonus shares.
i.e. Are Bonus Shares (and/or any bonus e.g. rshares balance boost) given for SBI post upvotes or are bonuses (shares or otherwise) only earned through delegation?
The existing FAQ is out of date and contains some inaccurate information, but we have a big contest right now to get the best possible explanations for a new FAQ. You can learn a lot just from reading the comments in the thread.
Bonus units are through delegation (or assignment of mgmt units), and receive upvote value at the same rate as subscribed units. So you could get to 270 units by delegating 540 SP to @steembasicincome and still be able to recall it if things aren't going as well as you would like, as opposed to sending 270 STEEM that would be subject to our refund policy.
Upvotes on SBI give you a direct multiplier (i.e. upvote SBI for $0.10, get back 0.134, which nets you about $0.10 in author rewards, plus whatever curation you can get from your upvote on SBI). That's typically better than what you get from a self-vote. For your upvotes to add up to enough rshares for 0.011 on each @playdice game, you would need to upvote by about $0.09 per day. That's not really feasible with @playdice's current SP.
You can delegate from one account and assign to another (for example, delegate 540 SP from @braaiboy and request the bonus units to be assigned to @playdice) but upvote multiplier rewards can only go to the account that upvotes us.
