Dátiles
El dátil es el fruto de una palma, específicamente la datilera, muy usada en Oriente Próximo. Los griegos dieron nombre a este fruto, por su forma alargada como un dedo.
La recolección se realiza generalmente cuando el fruto está rojo o amarillo, aunque muchas personas prefieren dejarlo más tiempo con el fin de aumentar la cantidad de azúcar presente en ellos.
Para aumentar el tamaño y calidad de los frutos los agricultores eliminan casi la mitad de las espigas, con el fin de disponer la energía de la planta a menor cantidad de racimos.
