RELIGION THAT TEACHES US STUPIDITY

Happy Sunday beloved Steemians, today was the Lord's day not withstanding the little challenges I encountered, I was in church. Today I want us to look at a very important aspect of our society today; the aspect of religion and mental laziness.

I found out one sad reality prevalent among religious folks, very saddening is the situation in the Christian faith. Religion has made us almost lose sanity and a sense of being reasonable . I am saying this from the standpoint where most religious people have been brainwashed into believing everything will drop from heaven like the biblical manna.

Laziness of the mind is the worst form of laziness that exists in our world of today. No Wonder the Nigerian president recently said our youths were lazy.

Yes. This is what I want to talk about today. I don't know if you've noticed that when a non-christian wants to do something, they put in their all to see that it comes out perfectly. Of course, they don't have any spiritual being to depend on. They rely on their strength and most times, it pays off! Yes, except God wants to show them pepper and teach them some lessons. Another disadvantage they have is that they don't have control over the spiritual elements but we do. It is good for us to take control of both sides! Not just the spiritual!

Fine, we are supposed to rely on God for His blessings and miracles. He said we should cast all our cares on Him. He said we should commit everything to Him, He said we should... (what again do we use to cover up our deficiencies?). He said we should do this and do that.

I need to tell you that God does not and will never support laziness and inefficiency. Remember the parable of the talents? Don't you remember 2Thess 3:10? That He who doesn't work shall not eat? What then is the place of diligence?

See, we have missed the point. GOD WILL BLESS WHAT YOU DO AND HELP WHEN YOU CAN'T COPE! But when there's nothing you do nko? What do you want Him to do? How did He create you? With His own Hands, He moulded you. That's work. The fine face you have, He worked it out. The fine legs you have, He worked it out.

When you do your part and God does His, you come out very BIG and people won't understand because there is an input from the spiritual. That's how it should be.

Don't scream God God God when there's nothing you do with your hands.

We all love Nathaniel Bassey not because he even sings so well but because we know that man carries grace. Do you know when that man started playing trumpet? Long before we knew him. Do you know how much voice training he still does? God took his skills and breathed upon it.

So now because he knows God is with him, does he go and start singing unedited songs with uninteresting melodies? No. Listen to his songs, good good good quality. The sound, the trumpet interludes, everything.

Students, go and read, He will help you out. Don't sleep all day and expect to pass examinations because you know God. Are you the only one that knows God? You will remember what you already know. How can you remember what you don't even know?

The only thing you didn't work to get is your salvation. It's not even because it was free. Someone had to PAY for it in full. Jesus did.

So, get up and work! God bless you too!
