Price can be a poor reflection of what's actually going on. Price will always lag behind what's happening in real time.
I agree but it also makes alot of active people inactve aka deadfish because of the low rewards with the low price of Steem.
And we dont want to see that happen.

Why would you presume that price has anything to do with what is taking place?
I am just saying when the price of Steem was 8$ in January Steem broke the record with number of active users.
From that point Steem is losing its users because of the low price.
