OUR CHILDHOOD

Hello friends, today's post I want to focus on those pleasant moments that we are sure we live in the childhood stage, I hope they identify with some of those situations.

Any mother or father born before the eighties of the twentieth century, had as one of their golden rules, properly lock the front door of the house, to prevent the youngest we escaped to the street. Despite this, many of us did it using the back door, which not only communicated with the "solar". The street was the privileged space of encounter and sociability; there we met friends with whom we played pelota, we raised kites, we launched metras or perinola and, of course, there we learned to admire the ladies. When we were parents, we repeated the cycle.

Nowadays, in cities, places and homes with a connection to the network, with Wi-Fi or with the presence of computers and video consoles, a phenomenon that begins to build a common denominator is occurring. Who are parents in these circumstances, children under twelve years, we know what it costs us to get them to accompany us to a mall, bakery or supermarket. Moreover, we can leave the door of our houses open and they will hardly take the trouble to leave. The most daring invite us to leave without them, while leaving them at home "connected".

The meeting with your school friends or with those known in online games, is increasingly made in the virtuality of the network. The internet with its social networks, video games and information at hand at home, are beginning to be the preferred space for socialization for an important segment of the population of children and adolescents. To consolidate this "lifestyle", the cultural capitalist industry generates television series, comics, music videos, films, literature to be consumed by the little ones without moving from their homes and, showing a happy world of virtual "connection".

Terrible that this dynamic is not analyzed in the context of its impact on human sociability, neither by academia, nor by parents, nor by States. Universities and teacher training centers are often oblivious to a scientific and critical perspective of this phenomenon. Worse yet, when they do, the recurrent discourse about it tends to come from a conservative epistemology, whose only orientation is to try to make the present go back to the canons of the past, which allowed it to construct narratives that told us about the old way of domination and control.
