The Victoria falls are located in the African continent specifically between two of their poorest countries Zambia and Zimbawe and that thanks to the flora, the fauna and their splendid landscapes, the tourists have found in facts various ways of having fun, Observing and enjoying nature, which has brought with it a slightly more moderate stability for the inhabitants of these countries. The original name or as it is locally known in that area to Victoria Falls is Mosi-oa-Tunya (the smoke that thunders).

So where does name Victoria falls come from? On November 16, 1855 the British explorer David Livingstone, on one of his voyages or missions on the African continent, discovers them, and named Victoria´s Falls in honor of Queen Victoria, at that time was the queen of the Kingdom Kingdom. This discovery was the most important in his life and it is by this that his name was kept in the line of time.

An anecdote that surprised me while searching for information was the following.

Livingstone was so important to this area of Africa that after his death, his heart was buried at the foot of a tree, because the Africans said that his heart was in Africa, while his body was transferred and buried in England, there is also a city in Zambia that is named Livingstone and currently near Victoria Falls are monuments in its memory.

It really was very important!

Victoria Falls are part of the Zambezi River, which makes a descent of more than 100 meters, twice the Niagara Falls, for its width of about 1.7 km and the amount of flow it carries in times of rain, returns it in the waterfall that moves more Worldwide more than 600 million cubic meters per day, with that flow is layers to fill more than 240,000 Olympic pools a day, a madness no?. The Victoria Falls in the year 1989 were named by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.

You only have to see this beautiful image to realize how magnificent these waterfalls are. The water powdering after its fall of more than 100 meters, the fog rising and finally we have the constants rainbow that dazzle the sight.

Well, we already know a bit of the history of this imposing cataract, let's explain because in a part of it, it is told Devil's pool.

The Devil's pool, refers to a peculiar natural formation that occurred exactly in the limit where the descent of the waterfall begins, making this one of the main reasons for visiting the River Zambezi, apart from its formidable rapids and That very close to it is practiced by jumping.

As mentioned above, in the rainy season Victoria Falls is the one that most water moves, so the only way people can enjoy this spectacular and terrifying pool is in the dry season, specifically in the months of September to December, where the flow rate is relatively small, but it is not 100% sure of this. Due to the great length of the river, it crosses several countries so if it rained in any of these, without warning the sheet of water will grow easily, taking everything in its path.

Despite how dangerous the falls are, many tourists arrive at the Victoria Falls just to swim in the Devil's Pool and live a unique experience and feel what they say on the brink of death.

In this video we see some girls who think twice or more times before launching into the Devil's pool, it is not easy to make that decision. Because of the dangerous and/or scary that is the pool, for security always find a guard with tourists, for that reason it is very common that some of them appear in the videos and photos of the fans.

In the next video, we see Orlando Duque and Jonathan Paredes, jumping from a height of 30 meters at Victoria Falls.
