Reminiscing the 80's and 90's

in #busy6 years ago (edited)

Each and everyone of us have our own story to tell. As for me I am proud to have experienced the 80's and 90's. I could tell that the 80's and 90's are the best decades for a child to live and play.

In those two decades a child can fully enjoy being a child by playing outside together with other children. Children of today are mostly glued to television, gadgets, computers and the internet.

Children of the 80's and 90's have the chance to enjoy being a "true" child by playing outside. Today, not so much because of technologies that kept them from playing outside.

I could tell that it is more enjoyable playing outside with other children than holding a tablet while playing online games.

In the 80's and 90's majority of my playing time is with other children. At that time playing ball games, running around playing tag, chatting, sight seeing, swimming, playing cards, chasing birds, riding bikes, climbing trees, climbing fences, catching spiders, flying kites or just walking to a nearby river are the norm.

Playing those games are more enjoyable because of the companionship, friendship, camaraderie and memories that they build. I doubt it if it can be achieved by playing online games on a computer or a mobile device.

How would you like flying kites while watching it hover above the clear blue sky in a smooth and cool wind with your friends?kite-2173917_960_720.jpg

How about after playing a hard fought basketball game and then wait for the sunset sitting side by side with your friends while drinking your favorite iced cold drink to quench your fatigue?basketball-3375772_960_720.jpg

How about walking to a nearby store just to buy a drink or shake and then you delightfully sit on top of a stone with your friends enjoying the smooth cool breeze while the sun is setting?coke-340446_960_720.jpg

How about riding a bike with your friends just to see a nearby river? Would that be more enjoyable than sitting while playing online games? Yes!nature-3261130_960_720.jpg

I am proud and happy to have experienced how to be a child in the 80's and the 90's. Those memories will not be forgotten. If I have the chance to do it or re-create it I would do it again.

Ah, the memories of old. Reminiscing them always make me smile and still feel the happiness it brings whenever it cross my mind. I wish I could experience it again.
