Inspired by Lenin, Elon Musk is planning to create his own "Pravda" for public opinion to rate media publications and editors

There is no doubt that media can manipulate facts, build fake news and misinform us whenever it wants or it is paid to do that. Such practices are manipulative tools that you even learn about in college and are not anything new for the ones having a sharp eye to detect them.

One of the American businessmen that is not happy at all about the way media is portraying him and his company in different publications recent events like the few Tesla accidents involving the auto pilot system and the situation around the slow manufacturing process of the Tesla Model 3 is of course Tesla's CEO Elon Musk. Thus he is planning on creating a website to rate the media.

“Going to create a site where the public can rate the core truth of any article & track the credibility score over time of each journalist, editor & publication. Thinking of calling it Pravda …”
Elon Musk on tweeter

In the tweet launched on the giant social media platform on Wednesday Elon Musk announced that he plans to create a site where the public gets to rate journalists, media publications and editors. Not only that he made a poll asking his followers for their opinions regarding the site, but he has already a name for it.

The name is Pravda and it is inspired from the Russian communist publication founded in 1912 by Lenin. A publication that talked about workers and labor conditions, strikes and the Marxist theory.

His main critiques considering the work of some social media trusts and journalists were addressed to Andrew Hawkins from The Verge whom in his opinion "lost his credibility long ago" and he also called Reveal as "just some rich kids in Berkeley who took their political science prof too seriously".

According to a tweet from Mark Harris, writer for The Economist, it appears that Elon Musk already registered the company in California, last yeas, by Jared Birchall the Director of The Boring Company as a media company. Tesla's CEO is planning on opening a candy company also, but Warren Buffet doesn't seem to confident about its success.

I think this is a great idea by a great visionary of our time. Hopefully it will force journalists, media publications and editors to step up otherwise they will quickly lose credibility as their ratings drop.

I'm a fan of Elon Musk. Yes, they might step up or they could just ignore the website completely considering that all opinions are of amateurs like you and I who are not entitled to "judge" their news.
His visions are great though.
