Feeling fifty and strong with a $0.01 vote value

in #busy7 years ago

Every new user starting his experience on the Steem platform receives a reputation score of 25. No exception. From there he can either grow his rank by multiple possibilities or crush it by posting junk, plagiarizing, commenting with phishing links or why not pissing of a whale.

From 25 to 40 you can get pretty easy so it's not that of a great milestone to reach forty, but after forty is when you get more mature and adding numbers to your rank becomes harder and harder. Only if you don't have enough funds to use bid bots and rely just on your posts and the voting power of the ones reading your posts and upvoting them.

Since I talked and commented already too much about bid bots let's save your reading time and cut to the chase. Yesterday I had the surprise to see my reputation score changing its decimal. I'm not 100% sure, but I guess it's the sweet pie post that changed my reputation score and brought a smile on my face.

Many of you may have reached this milestone "centuries" ago so my happy number might not be such a splash in your mind when you read about it, but for me it is. Considering that only a few points are earned with the help of bid bots it is a great consolidation for my Steemit account for which I work a few hours every day by posting, commenting and upvoting.

While using busy.org for some days to post on the Steem platform I get to see also my voting power and value at any time. As if it was a Labor Day gift, yesterday my voting power also got stronger weighing now a "heavy" $0.01. A $0.01 that might not count that much on posts with tens of $ in upvotes, but for sure will be a good sign of appreciation for newbies like myself.

What is funny after reaching that "high voting power" is that I don't feel like throwing votes left and right anymore like I used to do before. I am also checking my voting power more often not to abuse of it :-) and sometimes think twice before upvoting a post.

With rewards come responsibilities also as I have not to only maintain this score, but to improve it also and reach that 60 which I set as a milestone for the end of the year. But I am confident and ready to work for it.

As an ending line I want to THANK EVERYONE of you who upvodted my posts, commented and reseemed them and I can confess that steeming with you guys is the best experience I ever have had on a social media platform. Period. Can't wait to see where we'll be at least a year from now...

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
