Leaders vs Bosses
I agree........
I have had actual leaders that would never give an order they are not willing to carry out themselves..... that's how I lead... they work shoulder to shoulder with me and sometimes run faster than me as they actually have what it takes to outrun me..... in order to lead the way.........
Then there are those who hide in their small
Physical spaces..... hide behind processes ...... hide behind bureaucracy..... and spend most of their time covering their own ass and looking after their job security and comfort.....
Their time will come........
I agree, there is a real difference between an actual leader and a boss, I have been lucky in my career that I have worked for more leaders than bosses. Although having said that I do know that I am the exception to the rule.
Leaders lead by example, bosses tend to push and manage through fear and threats.
Then your people are lucky to have you bro :)
