Apple to reduce gender discrimination

in #business7 years ago

Even talking about reducing discrimination at work, Apple is still far away in gender equality.

According to the annual discrimination report of the US technology giant, the number of women workers is one-third.

This year, the first annual 'Incidence and Diversity Report' was released after Apple's former head of human resources chief Dennis Young Smith was appointed as the Vice President to oversee the workplace discrimination. According to the report released on July 27 this year, 32 percent of their women workers were asked. In 2016, it was said that the number was such.   There was some improvement in the number of women in the recruitment of staff at the higher level of the organization.

"In the last one year, the number of women workers in the higher level has increased by one percent. From 2014 to 2016, the number was 28 percent. "

Apple has said that the number of women workers in the organization is "increasing at the same rate".

An example of gender discrimination would be if a girl was denied employment, or was paid however someone would be paid or received a lesser compensation and benefits package entirely on the concept of her being female. In us, discriminating against anyone on the concept of their physical sex or gender is against the law, however, it happens all the time (it together happens to men.)

"For example, 36 percent of women in the organization below 30 years of age It is five percent higher than in 2014. "

Gender wage ratios for regular year-around staff vary from .68 for older advanced-degree holders to .85 for young high school dropouts.

The number of male workers in the higher rank of the organization now stands at 71 percent.

According to a Tech Crunch report on technical sites, "Apple's leadership level in the United States is 66 percent of the number of white workers. And the number of black workers is three percent, the number of Hispanic is seven percent and only one percent is multinational. "

At present, there are around 130,000 employees worldwide, including Apple. Of them, there are 83,000 employees in the United States.
