Fully agree the final value comes from engagement. Currently the engagement is stable but not increasing. Traffic is helpful for the Alexis position of Steemit.
I think the learning curve is the main blocker right now for many potential valuable contributors to this platform. It takes a while to understand the intricacies of the algorithm. To be honest, I decided to make this 30 days challenge in order to create a significant corpus of data over which I can draw some conclusions. I suspect that after 30 days I will have a much, much clearer understanding of the algorithm. But for the average contributor, 30 days is quite long. They usually focus on delivering good content and not on understanding algorithms. But then again, after you understand the algorithm, you may have a much bigger ROI.
