Goals don't just happen
We have to make them happen.
The road to reaching our goals will have potholes and bumps, we must expect and anticipate difficulties and disappointments.
To reach our goals we must never give up. We can adjust them and refine them if there were aspects that we find were unrealistic, but we should not turn back just because things are more difficult than we at first anticipated.
Making plans to anticipate and overcome difficulties will make us more prepared for when challenges arise. This way challenges will not come as a surprise and will therefore be less likely to deter us from reaching our goals.
Two things about goals I find to be true:
set short, medium and long term goals so that you always have milestones to measure, baby steps you can take to achieve that final goal
make your goals bigger. Otherwise when you reach them you’ll wonder what to do next.
And if at some point you should find before you that mountain, that challenge that gets you thinking you have arrived at the end of the road, and cannot continue, look back to how far you have already come, how bigger the mountains you have already surmounted....and there find the courage to walk o.....
And then of course, keep your eyes on the prize. And if things become harder, remember what it was that first moved you to take that road.

Amazing how important it is to have specific goals. If you don't know where you want to go, how will you ever get there? lol
I always say make your goals SMART: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. They let you work towards your goals and keep you realistic at the same time ;)
True. We can never fully plan for what lies ahead, but we can be more prepared as we anticipate possible scenarios. I have often thought of starting a business. Just not sure where to start😅

Shying away from challenges in life doesn't just show a person's cowardice but also points at the crystal fact that he/she doesn't possess the capabilty to be successful in life. Many have the impression that success in life comes as a result of luck or destiny but I stand to counter that fact. I strongly believe that success is a product of hardwork and constant persistence.
