Finding Your Business Idea
FINDING YOUR BUSINESS IDEA
Many people want to start a business and be their own boss, but one of the main obstacles preventing them is their uncertainty about what business to start. Most people don't know where to start and stick to the environment where they know their current job.
However, if you really want to become an online entrepreneur, you should know that finding an idea isn't that hard. A business idea usually comes out of this equation:
A topic you are interested in + you love and want to help + a problem that these people have + a solution to the problem you can provide and a topic where you can put a product or service in the format you choose (book, video, course, etc.).
What you want about your life
All is not necessarily wrong in your current situation. Perhaps you enjoy your relationships with colleagues and work in a team. You will likely appreciate that once the process is complete, you won't have to think about the job.
Knowing what you want to reproduce in your online business is good to know. Even if being a web entrepreneur is essentially about being self-employed, there are ways to add social situations to your new entrepreneurial life.
What you don't want in your life
There must be something in your current situation that you don't like. Perhaps it is a lack of free time, your commute to work, instruction on what to do, the types of tasks you need to do, or insufficient income.
It is important to define what you want to avoid so that you don't recreate it in your new lifestyle. For example, if lack of time is a major concern, you shouldn't go for a business model that requires the same amount of time (e.g. freelance work). Instead, you should choose a passive income model.
What are your interests?
There are topics and activities that naturally appeal to you more than others. They feel more enthusiastic about certain conversation topics and more curious about certain topics. If your plan is to start a blog or if you don't think about a topic you will write every day without getting bored or inspired. Also answer these questions:
• When you enter a bookstore, which department do you go to first?
• Which TV channels do you watch?
• Which parts of the newspaper do you like to read?
• What activities do you do in your spare time?
• What websites do you like to browse?
Of course, it is important to choose a topic you are interested in as it will become a part of your daily life. Otherwise you will end up bored, sometimes sooner or later.
It's important to remember that over time you may find that your interests may differ slightly from what you initially thought. Sometimes there are activities that you enjoy as a hobby but are not required as a job.
What are your strengths?
Natural talents and strengths are not talents acquired through practice and experience. are activities that you naturally find easier than others. They are excellent at writing and playing with words, doing manual tasks, solving problems, or analyzing concepts.
What are your weaknesses?
Be careful not to view a weakness as a skill deficit, as skills can be learned. Your "natural" weaknesses are aspects in which you feel less comfortable. We should all have a growth philosophy and a desire to constantly work on our weaknesses in order to improve ourselves, but still it would be wise to accept what is naturally easy for us so we don't choose a business model that makes things unnecessarily difficult to get started.
