Motivations of an Adverse Entrepreneur in the Global Marketplace.

Due to the harsh realisation that Holland is merely consisting of a large piece of dried out North Sea soil, inhabited by less people then the numbers that currently reside in Downtown Manhattan i have taken to the idea of publishing my humble insights in the english language.
Ok, the forementioned description of the country of my forefathers may have been a bit rude, but no one ever got worse from a bit of selfcriticism.
As goes for my knowledge of the language wich is leading in international business, surely one will be able to point at my occasional ( or frequent) misspelling or outright abuse of words out of their context, but its all about sharing experiences and insights in an attempt of being able to grasp a litlle piece of understanding about what drives people in domestic and global markets, the failures and the successes.

First thing one notices when looking upon the phenomenon we call social media, are the growing numbers of what i call positivism guru’s who keep tweeting, with consistent five minute intervals, about the fact that they feel more wonderful by the minute, while reducing things most of us would consider our worst nightmare to mere inconveniences.
To quote a worldwide known entrepreneur: screw it.. just do it..
In theory i totally agree, but i would like to involve the naked reality and its devastaing effects into the equation…

As it happens i was caught by a sudden wave of optimism when i jumped out of bed this morning. After consuming the neccesary amount of coffee ( and nicotine, but im not sure wether this is still widely accepted, nor wether i will be able to keep doing this, since a steady rise in duties will push a package of cigarettes past the twentyfive euro mark within foreseeable future..) My apologies for that, im getting distracted…

Upon opening my mailbox under the effects of the ongoing flow of optimism, i rapidly dismissed the quite substantial list of mails, urging me to pay some unsettled debts.
Seemingly those were the only remains of the company i so succesfully kickstarted the year before. Clearly it wasn’t enough to realise a turnover of 150.000 euro in a mere six months to establish a sound basis for ongoing growth.
In my case those last remaining bills will not be the biggest problem, what i am really concerned about is the fact that it is possible to deteriorate from being a typical succesfull businessman into a present situation, wich is totally void of any income and getting dangerously close to even not having a decent roof over my head. ( Thank god i have a family that supports me)
And that rapid deterioration is excatly whats bothering me, the fact that a thriving and promising , even proven, bussiness is allowed to just turn into a dead end is a sign that there are a few essential flaws in our beloved society.

In the following blog entries i will make an effort to analyse the mistakes i made and wich external factors caused the downfall of the bussiness.
By the way, this downfall should be considered temporary, because im already planning the restart, this time in good company of the lessons learned in the initial run…
