Marketing is an integral part of any business, it contributes largely to the success of a business. The methods of marketing can vary from time to time, this is as a result of the evolution of social media and the internet and the changes in customer preferences. A marketing method that worked before might not work again.

Entrepreneurs need to prepare themselves and their business for 2019, competitors are leveraging the internet and if you want to keep up, you consider these tips.

  • There are all kinds of people online and not all of them are your ideal customers, so be specific in your target audience. When you fail to specify your audience, you end up wasting time and money and at the end of the day, you will miss the right audience and your products won't be sold. So it's a lose lose situation. So here are quick things to consider before marketing:
    a) The type of people you need.
    b) Their location.
    c) Their shopping habits.
    This will help you determine the right customers and market to them.

  • Nowadays people prefer to shop from their mobile phones.. When they come across a link to a website, the first thing they do is to open it with my phone, most people don't carry their laptop about, so make sure your website is Mobile Friendly. Make sure every feature can be seen from the mobile and make sure it loads fast. Most customers are impatient, I am a perfect example of an impatient customer, if I can't see a product properly from my mobile phone, I quickly close the Page and search for the product of interest in another website. So this 2019, make sure your website is mobile friendly with an exciting user interface.

  • Your competitors are probably doing the same thing, so show your make your presentation count. Show your customers what is different from your competitors, this is where branding comes in. Don't think that branding and marketing are the same, marketing pushes your products to people but branding keeps them. Branding is who you are, it fosters customer loyalty, it is what people will remember when they see your product. You can also adopt a catchy slogan using slogan maker

  • Lastly provide a top notch customer service.. Make sure there is someone to resolve all the customer complaints. Don't neglect your customer feed backs, it will help you know what you are doing wrong.. You don't have to wait for the new year to do this, start right away, check the comments you missed, so that you can take the right steps for the new year.

It's obvious that the social media is being widely adopted every single day, so build a strong social media presence and update your contents regularly. It doesn't matter how small your business is, don't neglect the power of social media marketing..
