I think many people know most of these things; we hear them all the time in seminars, workshops even in church. The issue is in implementation.

We start out with great ideas but lose all or the enthusiasm somewhere along the line. From striving to build a strong brand, we can just succumb to merely making profits.

That's why tracking is important. If course, it goes with the first point you raised (properly defining the overall business plan)
