Don't appraise your immediate boss. He is the boss because of his past credentials and performance.
It's time for you to perform and prove you are better than your boss. If the majority feels he is bad boss, probably there would be no one working with him.
It is possible that a bad boss for you could be a good boss for the others. It's conditional!!
Other perception could be - it is better to have a good boss with a bad company, than a bad boss with a good company. With a good leader / boss, together we can achieve everything which is seems imposibble, but with a bad boss, everything simple will be difficult & impossible.
It depends on in which stage of career you are.... initial 5-6 should work to learn and not earn (definitely one should get salary enough to satisfy basic needs and to keep onself motivated to work). during the first phase a good boas is must...
and after you have enough experience and expertise, which you earned by hardwork, you can start expecting the things you deserve (not desire.. desires are limitless)...
Trust and Honesty from the people above you. If you cant trust those above you can you really work for them?
Even coin has two sides.. it's a collaboration of the bosses and his employees.

Great ! Dear @futureentech you have written all points that is universal truth. One thing i would like to add here that there is difference between Boss and Leader. Leader always work with fellow colleagues for company growth but Boss is always makes fear and working in this style for Company. Boss can destroy your career to save his self but leader will give you chance.

I think boss, most of the times, propels himself or herself from the start and subordinates follow the path and all the benefits of team work go to the boss...
While leader pushes subordinates from behind and motivates to achieve the common goal of the team..
One thing tell me my steemit friend that who works in ground level Boss or Junior ? All business done ✅ by junior but boss get benefits. One thing i want to disclose here that my boss is in tension now because can't proof me failure and it is his failure.
obviously juniors work at ground level
