Deep-Dive Prototyping: An Innovative Process for Organizational Development
A deep-dive process is a process of directing all the efforts of a team towards achieving a particular goal of providing solutions to specific problems or challenges. This is a process that is designed to make sure the ideas of everyone in a team counts, in such a way that it put the ideas of everyone in that team under control or to use in a way that is creative, encouraging, determined, interesting, useful and full of energy and vigour in order to achieve a better result and consequently the set goals.
A deep dive is made up of two main entities, and those entities include brainstorming and prototyping (where the potential solutions pertaining to the beginning is explored and developed. This particular approach is a powerful approach that can be utilized by any leader of a change initiative in order to make an identification of those actions that can cause the growth of a business. The time of completion for a deep dive can either be 7days, a day or as little as an hour. There are actually some crucial stages we need to go through during the process of deep dive. Those stages are listed step by step in the table below:

There are certain things that should be put into practice when carrying out deep-dive prototyping. Those points are discussed below:
A prominent American design company known as IDEO are of the belief that the process of deep-dive prototyping are made up of different stages (for more information check "The Art of Innovation: Lessons in creativity from IDEO, America’s leading design firm by Tom Kelley and Jonathan Littman").
Make sure you have a prior knowledge of your market, technology, customers and those constraints that you are aware of.
Ensure to observe people in a situation that is actually happening or capable of happening.
The basic and important themes from the first two phases must be combined and organized to give new result.
Ensure to visualize. This is usually comprised of carrying out a thorough brainstorming and discussion. Make sure to envision or create new concepts and ideas with reference to the main themes of the design in your mind.
The next thing is the creation of new ideas and physical prototyping, known as brainstorming.
Make your ideas nice or subtle and also simplify or organize it to increase its efficiency. Again, brainstorm ways in which the prototype can be improved upon and problem can be solved, and also remain dedicated and determined towards realizing your concepts. Ensure to carry out assessment and prioritization of ideas, and make a decision on how they will be implemented.
Other creative solutions that can be used in solving your problems when things are about to go out of hand include:
Making a trial first and pleading for forgiveness later.
Test Marketing
Make sure that teams are as hot as possible.
Try to find external input.
Ensure that hierarchy are reduced or totally eliminated.
Making sure that people are involved and working freely.
You should maintain flexibility in the arrangement of works.
Always have it in mind that failure is not the end of everything. You should be ready to try again.
