This seems to be thinking from yesteryear (I like that). The healthcare industry is an example of an environment where any kind of change requires much time and money. For a doctor to change specialties, he/she must invest years of time! Change for them becomes impractical.
But for most of us, change is an easier decision.
I work under the personal assumption that the only one with my best interests at heart is me so, if I want to grow I will take the responsibility to organise and enact it myself.
