Bekicot memang bagi sebagian orang menjijikkan tapi bekicot itu kaya akan mamfaat.
Sekarang banyak orang yang mengambil keuntangan dari bekicot itu sendiri .
Yaitu usaha bekicot dengan modal yang sangat kecil dan sangat besar peluang untuk memdapatkan hasil.
Bekicot diternakkan umumnya jenis Achatina fulica yg banyak disenangi orang, karena bekicot jenis ini banyak mengandung daging. Konon di Eropa, bekicot jenis ini digunakan sebagai bahan baku makanan yg disebut Escargot. Escargot semula berbahan baku Helix pomatia. Karena Helix pomatia lama kelamaan sulit diperoleh maka bekicot jenis Achatina fulica menggantikannya sebagai bahan baku Escargot.
