As for the communication part in your article, I'd enforce very specific channels for communication within the organization. Everyone needs to be on the same page. May it be processes, training, knowledge, the tools used, etc. If you can't unify the lot, you will run into problems eventually.

Most people are uncomfortable with changes (getting out of their comfort zones). But to collectively realize a better future, we all need to change.
