POLITICS AND CHURCH: A MAJOR MEANS OF EMPLOYMENT IN MY STATE - (A LESSON FROM THE IGBOs )
Till tomorrow, I will continue to have so much respect and regards for Igbos in Nigeria, they brought real time commerce to Nigeria, no matter where they are, they never want to be found wanting, especially in business.

There's a street in my state, Akwa Ibom called Nepa line, known for majorly electronic business, I dare to say that 99% of shops there are owned by Igbos.
The igbo man is a great follower, great apprentice, they don't joke with whatever will bring food to their table, but most times my people do not really want to have their hands soiled, but an igbo man? He wouldn't mind!
Have you considered the Aba people of Abia state or the Owerri people of Imo state, or the Onitsha people of Anambra?
Their sense of commerce and industry is superb, they have produced almost 60% of Nigeria's utility needs from clothings, furniture, fabrics, electronics, vehicles, building materials etc.
The Innoson vehicles produced completely in Nigeria is another feather to the caps of Igbo Industrialists, sometimes we say Igbos are dubious, treacherous and insincere, but this isn't true, They are just smart and business oriented, if this is their only offense, then no challenge!

I won't mention the products they have exported outside their various states, most shoes made in Aba are more durable than "Italian" products. The Igbos are a wonder to behold!
Over time I heard people ignorantly castigating the Igbos for wanting BIAFRA , look; if we are sincere with our selves, those guys have been greatly marginalised by the Nigerian Government, dialogue is what would have helped not threats or killings, The Igbos should be encouraged to stay because if you take away even 40% of Igbo services, Nigeria is doomed.

Having said these, I challenge my fellow Akwa ibom people and the South generally, to borrow a leaf from the NDIGBOS and embrace Industrialization.
Learn from the Igbos and know that Politics isn't a job, neither is Church planting a business plan. Outside these two things, we boast of so many hotels and petrol stations too, but can't we be innovative? Must everyone be a politician, pastor, must we all own Petrol Stations? You can't move pass three houses successfully without seeing either a church or petrol station .

Southerners we need to stand up and be conscious indeed, my state Government slogan is DAKADA which means ARISE... may we truly arise to our greatness this new year.
My State Government is doing well in an attempt to industrialise, but it's beyond Government, we need private sector based partnership too.
Please I repeat, Church no be work, Politics no be job!
