President Bush Senior

in #bush6 years ago (edited)

I work for the federal government. So, tomorrow I will get to be off. I don’t mind working hard every single day all week long, probably because when I’m off work my days always seem like an eternity! But tomorrow will be different. I will watch TV all day to see people paying tribute to President Bush Senior—as I always called him as that.

It’s not just because he just passed away that I wanted to have a few words about the man. I have been thinking about him since the last presidential election; ever since the first republican debate. Why? Because I missed the society that President Bush Senior promoted after he had been sworn in as president. The atmosphere which I fortunately got to live in and always remember it well, “A kinder and gentler society.”

It wasn’t Trump who brought the kind of rude and meansprited atmosphere among us. It was actually us rude and meanspiritted people who produced a president like him. Now, it seems okay for people to disrespect one another, like a new lifestyle. If you have to drive a car on the street, even in the most civilized city like where I work, you would know exactly what I mean. People are not just growing more impatient, they are becoming more aggressive and meaner, always eager to show their dissaproval and intolerance toward other people who probably act exactly like they do. It kinda fits the term, your shit don’t stink!

Yes, President Bush Senior, among other great things that America will remember about you, your kindness and gentleness will be greatly missed.
