Bus accident: the identity of the victims unveiled

Ottawa police unveiled the names of those who lost their lives in the bus crash last Friday afternoon .

They are Bruce Thomlinson, 56, Judy Booth, 57, and Anja Van Beek, 65.

"The identification of the deceased is a difficult and important process, and I want to offer the condolences of the Ottawa Police and the entire community," Chief Charles Bordeleau said in a statement.

"We have been busy supporting the families and loved ones of those involved, and we will stay there for them."

On Friday at 3:50 pm, a two-story OC Transpo bus boarded a bus shelter at Westboro Station.

The second floor of the vehicle was heavily damaged by the impact of the impact, with the bus entering the facility. Three people died and 23 others were injured.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, in addition to the three deaths, one person was still in critical condition, six were in serious condition and four were in stable condition at the Ottawa Hospital.

The bus driver was arrested after the tragedy but was released without conditions or charges.
