Bunny rescue - Meet Chimo (maybe Chima)

Yesterday, a friend reached out to me on social media about an abandoned bunny in a nearby town.
Packed up an xpen, carrier, variety of foods and water and off we went today.

Typically, a rescue might take a while pending on the habits of a bunny and how timid it is. This was about 10 minutes and only required a banana. This darling sweetheart was not shy at all about coming out from under the car she was hiding, to feast on the delicious treat while I held it.
I lowered it to the ground and let Chimo get closer and a quick catch later, Chimo was safe.

Some nearby neighbours moved away, leaving Chimo to fend for himself/herself. With a trust-level as high as Chimo's I don't think it would have been too long before Chimo would have gotten killed.

Chimo has been cleaned up and either Chimo is a fixed boy or a girl. Bit tough to tell but I am predicting girl.
She has been cleaned up and under quarantine until a vet visit is done this week. She has a nice spacious area with all the amenities a bun could want (including a new set of toys).

We are happy to have rescued Chimo and I'm happy to share Chimo's story with you.

That is an awesome story!! Something similar happened to me 3 weeks ago, we found a beautiful dutch mix behind a mall, she is now the sweetest bunny at our rescue.
