What is the actual Gold to Silver Ratio (GSR) in the UK 75:1?
What is the true gold silver ratio in the uk.
Its probably not what you think.
According to bullion by post the ratio is 75.94
Lets see what it really is using coins you can actually buy at full price including premium and costs
Lets take 1 gold Britannia and 1 silver Britannia.
To buy 1 Gold Britannia from a bullion dealer (hgm) would cost.. £984.11 plus £6.95 postage for a total of £991.06
To buy 75 Silver Britannia's from a bullion dealer (stg) would cost £1225.50 plus £15.99 postage for a total of £1241.49
So its definitely not 75:1
1 gold Britannia at £991.06 equates to 61 Silver Britannia's at £990.77
That works out 61:1
If you were selling a gold brit to buy silver brits it works out around 57:1
