The more traffic you get the more impact it will have on your host. In many of our courses we recommend using shared hosts, as a good reliable shared server option, but as you continue to build more and more traffic to your websites you will eventually need a stronger more powerful server.

Hostgator has many options to upgrade your server from a shared plan to a more dedicated plan. As your traffic increases you will likely move from a shared plan, (means you share a server with many other people) to a Virtual Private Server, (means you still share but with less people), to a dedicated server. (means it all yours). Hostgator has all options and will do the upgrade for you (as you require it) with minimal downtime, so you don’t have to worry about doing this yourself. Just make sure that as you increase traffic you continue to monitor your server to make sure it is not being “overloaded”. If you don’t know how to monitor it simply submit a ticket to your server provider and ask them.

Step 1 – Get a Reliable Server & Tracking

The amount of traffic you receive could be enough to crash a cheap shared host plan, and end up costing you a lot more time and money. Make sure you ask about free beacon alerts which notify you instantly if your site ever goes down. This is extremely important especially if you are sending massive traffic in short periods of time! (1000-5000 clicks an hour)

It’s not good enough just to have alerts though, you also need fast support to fix your site within minutes of it goes down.

As you continue to scale your traffic, a dedicated server may be required, and you can always upgrade later within minutes.

For tracking you need to use CPV labs or better. You can open a support ticket on most hosting companies and they will install it for you.

Step 2 – Build Your Sales Flow to Accept Mobile and Desktop

This is optional, but it makes things a heck of a lot easier if your landing page can accept mobile and desktop traffic at the same time.

Step 3 – Create the Landing Page or Squeeze Page
