Say Goodbye To SBI Requirements
We're Now Offering Builds Without SBI Shares As A Requirement!
We no longer require the purchase of SBI shares as part of our builds, instead we now offer everyone the choice between SteemitBuilder builds only, or SteemitBuilder builds with SBI shares.
From now you have the choice of the following:
- 1 x SteemitBuilder Build = 1 Steem (no SBI shares)
- 1 x SteemitBuilder Build + 1 x SBI share = 2 Steem (with SBI share)
New Memo Guide
Please make sure you use the correct memo as listed here:
- Memo with no SBI shares: "@ username NO SBI" (multiples of 1 Steem, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.)
- Memo with SBI share: "@ username YES SBI" (multiples of 2 Steem, 4, 6, 8, 10 etc.)
Please be aware that once your SBI shares have been purchased that they are non-refundable, so please make sure you use "NO SBI" in the memo if you do not want any SBI shares with your builds.
Please note: Memo's without the correct wording will be automatically added based on amount sent. If the amount of Steem is even 2, 4, 6, 8 etc. then we consider this as SBI shares. If the amount of Steem you send is odd 1, 3, 5, 7 etc. then we will consider this as NO SBI shares.
Why Did We Change This?
We all love SBI at SteemitBuilder and think it's a brilliant project to run in conjunction with ours. Having multiple upvotes daily will definitely help gain a little more exposure, however we've noticed a trend of users not wanting to be forced into purchasing SBI shares.
With Phase #1 a user could purchase a Starter Package for 2 Steem which would provide them with approx. $0.01 upvote every 24 hours and 1 SBI share. The packages were however limited to 1 per user with a maximum of 4 SBI shares total available with the big package which would provide a 91% upvote from us. In Phase #2 the number of SBI shares is greatly increased to get anywhere close to these values. We feel that it's not as favourable to those who really don't want more SBI shares, and this is the reason we have decided to remove the requirement of receiving SBI shares with each SteemitBuilder build.
Here's a quick example for users that really don't want SBI shares:
3 SteemitBuilder Builds "NO SBI" = 4.5% upvote (approx. $0.01 with 2500SP) = 3 Steem
3 SteemitBuilder Builds "YES SBI" = 4.5% upvote (approx. $0.01 with 2500SP) + 3 SBI shares = 6 Steem
Users that disregard the SBI vote value will notice a big difference in pricing and thus our part of ROI. Some users forget to add their SBI shares in when calculating ROI.
What Our Sponsor Suggests
@gringo211985 Came up with this idea as his suggestion to users is that they mix up their builds, buy a few with SBI shares and also buy some more without SBI shares. This way you get the added vote on your posts while also then allowing you to add more @steemitbuilder builds at technically half the price.
His exact suggestion was to go with a 3 to 1 ratio, so every 3 NO SBI builds you purchase, you then purchase 1 YES SBI build. Which as an entry user would mean you could get:
3 x Builds + 1 Build + 1 SBI share = 4 Builds total + 1 SBI share giving you a 6% weight upvote during Phase #2.
Will This Change In Phase #3?
Yes, we will update the builds when we move into Phase #3. We can't say how Phase #3 will differ for now, we're a long way away.

Hi @shoutloud you should check with @steembasicincome for your share, they sometimes can take up to around 14 days to enroll all new members. You can see the transaction took place in our and SBI's wallet 7 days ago. I would suggest to reach out to them via a comment on their latest post and ask when your last share will be enrolled. Sorry we can't help further as we're not a part of SBI or we'd enroll you today.
