The Good

First I want to thanks the team for the nice additions after the update such as the new reputation system, the auto hiding of low rep comments by bots, the more visible and easily clickable tags under posts, the Buy Steem Power button and probably a ton of other things that make steemit.com even better for the users that we don't see. But there seem to be some things that are still broken, the update broke or just need fixing, so I've prepared a quick list of these below. It is in no way a too detailed list as there are probably other things, but I'll just mention the ones that bother me in my everyday use of the website...

The Bad

bug1

Prior to the last update the Blog page of a user was showing some extra content such as comments posing as posts and now that is gone and we only see the posts. However something else seems to be broken after the update.

It seems that now the Blog page shows only 21 posts made by the user and not all of the posts that were made and there does not seem to be a navigation to show older posts. This makes it impossible for users with more posts to actually find their older content for example for linking it in more recent posts.

I have checked with multiple browsers and with multiple different users. The browsers did not make any difference, however I have noticed that the maximum number of posts shown for some other users had slight variation around my number like 20 or 23 for example.

It would be nice to either have all posts showing on scrolling down or at least have buttons for going back in time and being able to see the full history of the posts you have made.

bug2

When reading a post and I click on the username of the person that posted the article instead of going to his profile page I get a small popup window with the username and a link that I need to click on to go to the profile page of the user and Follow / Unfollow buttons below it. This does not work very well under Internet Explorer 11, seems to work fine on Chrome and Firefox and apparently on IE 11 there is some issues.

My suggestion would be to just remove the Follow / Unfollow buttons from there and have the username just link to the account and add these two options at the botom of the post as a separate option and not having to click on the username to reveal them.

bug3

This one you are probably aware of, but just saying it to be sure as I've seen other users complain and get worried because of it. When you decide to Convert to Steem your Steem Dollars and you initiate the process from within your Wallet the SD you have selected just disappear from your Steem Dollar balance, but there is nothing in the History below to note that you have initiated the one week long process. I see that now there is a note showing for a moment to confirm, but it would still be nice to get a note in the History as well just to be sure that they did not disappear in thin air. It is showing as an action initiated by the user on the block explorer steemd.com, as well as when it is completed, but not everyone is using it especially not many of the new users that may not even be aware of its existence.

bug4

It seems whenever I get a login window and I enter the username/password and then click on the Keep me logged in check box and my password gets cleared out then I enter it again and click on the Login button I see an error that the username is required and I have it set already as shown on the screenshot. When I retype the username again I can login normally, but even though it is there without entering it again it does not allow me to login. So it seems that something with clearing of the password with the checkbox state change is not working properly and breaks the login.

Some Suggestions

It would be a great addition in terms of additional security for the users if you add support for Two Factor Authentication as yet another layer of security against potential issues with breach of security. There is no need for it to be mandatory for users as new users with small balances may not be worried much and can decide that they don't need to use 2FA, but users that invest a serious amount of STEEM in the platform would want to have the extra security. It is even possible that some users may not be joining just because of concerns with security and the lack of 2FA support.

Some sort of a private messaging system would also be nice to have or another way for people to be able to get in contact with one user or another without having to rely on public comments or sending small amounts of SD with a message. Or at least some way for users to get support and report bugs directly to the team and not having to post articles like this one or post on twitter, facebook, reddit, bitcointalk or somewhere else in order to report things like that.

It would be nice to have some sort of system up for seeing what users you follow post, a list of users that follow you (or at least a number of followers), also some sort of notifications when somebody mentions your username in a post for example, so that you will know and go check out why you were mentioned in it.

When you are mining for STEEM, you mine a block and then witness a block creation and get a reward sent to your wallet it would be great if a note for that actually happening is added to the wallet here on steemit.com as otherwise it is hard to keep a track of your balance all the time to know if you have recieved a mining reward or not.

There are probably some other things, but they just got out of my head at the moment…

If anyone else out there has experienced the same problems and wants them fixed or wants something implemented from the suggestions mentioned as well, then please feel free to say it in the comments below.
