The world keeps advancing, technology majorly has been in the fore front of these advancements. New technological trends keep offering new ways of how things can be better done and our lives better lived in general.
For example we have gone from using horses,donkey and camel as a means of transportation to using automobiles that were first manually driven now to self driven cars like Tesla.

So it is in business, fast fading out are the days where ideas can only be brought to life or problems can only be solved through the use of physical,mechanical and industrial components. Developers are fastcoming up with solutions such as building applications and softwares everyday to solve company problems and eliminate the need for the afforementioned physical,mechanical and industrial solutions.

But just like the automobile case study I made, the software application development industry has seen its own advancement but has been plagued with issues such as complexity, time consumption and choosing from too many framework when it comes to building applications to tackle a problem or bring an idea to life.
This has led to companies and developers wasting valuable time and scarce resources to get it right and it still not seems to be right.

What is buddy?
Buddy is a decentralized development automation platform that allows developers build and design mind blowing and ground breaking apps easily and scalably through the automation of parts that can be automated throughout the entire application development process.
Buddy seeks to disrupt the application automation industry by putting application development on auto-pilot,eliminating repetition and saving more time in the cause of the action.

There is no doubt companies try to make the task of building app more easier for it developers by adopting and implementing application automation(devop) as it would be revolutionary and be of a great benefit to them but implementing the devops have been challenging due to lack of infrastructure, difficulty of a single party to provide the required automation to cover all programming languages,services, frameworks among other problems.

Buddy aims to create a devops marketplace with an over 80 crafted automation action that will be fitted into automation pipeline which will make it easier for users to develop and deploy software. This will make creating,testing and deploying both simple and complex application possible with just an act of few clicks.
The Devops market place also is opened to third party developers who can put up their work/action in the buddy ecosystem and put them into use in their personal development automation pipeline.

To put the devops market place in a more understandable perspective, it will be just like iOS apps are to apple store. Individuals can submit their actions on the devops market place whether for free or paid.

Another strategy employed by buddy to make devops widely adopted is by creating a network of buddy instances that will utilise auto-discovery and replication capabilites to build a top-notch availability auto-scalable facility for development and deployment automation.

Users will have to make the choice in this case if they choose to use their own bare-metal infrastructure , laas or a private cloud to run their buddy instances depending on their workflows and policies.
