in #buddy6 years ago (edited)

We are growing fast in technology in the past year and it has been really helpful to man daily task. We now see many innovations that are contributing to our daily lifestyle.
Blockchain innovation is fast growing in recent year, everything now moving to the digital world. Application developers are not left out in this fast-growing innovation too.
Let's talk about a platform that is set to put a smile to Application Developer face,

WHAT IS BUDDY?

Buddy is a blockchain based platform that is set to build automated and service applications for individual and organization. The platform also helps in building decentralized DevOps applications seamlessly.

Problems in existing application creating
Many companies and other traditional application builders have a lot of challenges in building application, here are some of the challenges.

• Mentality & Culture
• Legacy Infrastructure
• App Complexity
• Integration of Tools
• Neglecting Test Automation
• No DevOps Plan
• Lack of Training
• Too Many Tools
Let's talk about some of those listed issues briefly.

Mentality and Culture: This limit most Developer do specific limits because of the way they see things and what they believe.

Legacy Infrastructure: is also one of the major problems in developing an application, most developers are still using outdated tools which cant give a good result.

Neglecting Test Automation: Most application developers don’t want to adapt to recent technology, they still want everything to be done manually which is not suitable for efficiency.

Lack of Traning: this affects the creation of application because most application creators are not experienced and no much knowledge in the field, this can lead to bad app production.

Now that we have seen problems facing by other application platforms and developers
Now let's see the solutions by Buddy

Buddy Solutions

The DevOps Marketplace: this platform has many already crafted automation actions that help users develop and deploy software. All this are put in place for easy and fast access, it takes just a few clicks to build, test, deploy the required application.

The platform also gives other developers access third-party privilege, to deliver their own actions within the Buddy ecosystem. This means anyone can submit their own actions to the Buddy DevOps Marketplace be it paid or free app.

The DevOps Marketplace has other unique features under it, here are some:
Securify this is a free software reliability lab provider
Which allows automated analysis of any Ethereum smart contract for a critical security vulnerability and insecure coding through a website.
Here’s an example:

The Securify features would be integrated on DevOps Marketplace as a dedicated action which will allow anyone to add it to their automation pipelines. This will report any issues on the codebase. This will help reduced shipment time by deleting unnecessary code quality.

Private Automation GRID
This gives users opportunities to chose if they want to use their own bare-metal infrastructure, laaS or a private cloud to run Buddy instances.
Buddy will utilize auto-discovery and replication capacities to make High Availability auto-Scalable infrastructure for improvement and deployment of automation, this depends on the workflow and policies the user intended to use or choose.

All Things Private
Buddy's is a transparent, trusted and secured decentralization platform, users are in full control of their data and service.

Auto-Scaling
This feature automatically allows new buddy instance to decide their role.
A master to master replicant is created from the first two for the high availability system. Every next instance will be used as an agent to run more pipelines in parallel.

Shared Automation GRID
This feature allows offloading of high-intensive automation tasks to a network of Buddy instances run by users with available resources. This occurred in cases were trusted infrastructure is not required.

On the computer system, the node of the Shared Automation GRID is rewarded by a BUD token from the instant owner. Here are the specification of the units: 2 vCPUs, 2GB of RAM and 4GB of SSD storage.

  2. Sandboxes - Another major part of Buddy are sandboxes. They offer disposable test & preview environments for running apps and websites directly from Git repositories without any need for own servers or virtual machines.

Here is a list of which stacks Buddy currently supports
• PHP
• Wordpress
• Drupal
• Python
• Node.js
• Joomla
• JHipster

You have a minor grammatical mistake in the following sentence:

This gives users opportunities to chose if they want to use their own bare-metal infrastructure, laaS or a private cloud to run Buddy instances.
It should be to choose instead of to chose.

I agree with the author, @aabl3zzy!
