Beyond Self-Awareness to Pure Awareness
I'm working on article about my journey from trying to understand myself to beyond the thinking mind which lead me to pure acceptance, peace and ultimately pure awareness.
In essence, the untamed human mind always has to make up a story or narrative about everything. The paradox is that we need to tame our mind but at the same time pure awareness does not exist in the realm of the mind and can be accessed and rested in regardless of the state of the conditioning of our every day mind.
Also, the base instincts that were learn about in evolutionary psychology then run our lives. They all involve looking outside our selves for our survival and to get our perceived needs met.
For now, I want to share this video (audio) from Peter Fenner of Radiant Mind, a former buddhist monk whose knowledge and wisdom pointed me to pure awareness and ended my life of spiritual seeking.

Brenda, I loved it. I also bought the book in Kindle. Here is a new affirmation I was inspired to write from what he said in the video:
I accept everything in my life as it is right now. Nothing needs to be different than it is right now.
If I do something today in order to effect a change for my future state then it is Ok if that change comes gradually and Ok if it is never realized.
Also it is Ok if I do nothing to change my future state and Ok to do nothing about it at all because there is nothing now that needs to be changed.
