Buckinghamia celsissima, commonly known as ivory curls, is a tree species, is part of the Proteaceae family of plants. They grow naturally only (endemic) in the wet tropical rainforests of northeastern Queensland, Australia.

Buckinghamia celsissima reaches a height of 30 m (98 ft) in natural rainforest habitat, but is much smaller, reaching 10 m (33 ft) tall, in Australia's east coastal park. The glossy green above and the whiteness below, the leaves are quite varied.

In the wild they are more commonly found in drier rain forests of 200 to 1,000 m (660-2,280 ft) above sea level. They often grow with pine kauri (Agathis robusta).

This species grows widely in Brisbane and thrives in Sydney and Melbourne, but it is difficult to flower in Cairns. Dew makes it hard to grow in Canberra. Can be propagated from seeds or cuttings of hardened new growth. Flower flowers attract birds and insects.
