ETF: Exchanged Traded Fund - simply this is a marketable security which tracks an index, bonds, group of different assets or may be a commodity like gold.

CBOE: Chicago Board Options Exchange - this is the largest options market in the world that contains contracts focusing on individual equities

This is the gold chart. can you imagine how many people talked then that gold is dead :) going down from 2200 to less than 400!
