It solves the problem of a currently fragmented ecosystem of solutions in digital ledger technologies and alternative economies. The hybrix network runs through a collection of decentralized nodes and puts a lot of power at your fingertips.
Many distributed ledger technologies (DLTs for short) have been developed in parallel and subsequent to Bitcoin. As a result, multitude of crypto islands and archipelagos have emerged, each with considerable resources invested in both technological development and financial assets. Substantial efforts have been made to strive for interoperability between them. The flow of transactions between systems, however, could be greater, if the ocean that surrounds them is utilized to harness their combined power, irrespectively and agnostically. We are a group of young professionals based in the centre of The Netherlands at the core of the blockchain community in Utrecht, we have been active in the blockchain scene from the start and are strong supporters of its initial values. We are working together to improve the quality and equality of the Internet and, therefore, the real world. Each member of the team has individual expertises, ranging from cryptography to marketing and from trading to social entrepreneurship. Together we create a mix, a cocktail, that can conquer the challenges of the world's inequality on the Internet.
Our focus is based on blockchain ideals, and we do not seek to make a profit with our open-source codebase. The hybrix platform environment can be run on your own personal computer or server by downloading the daemon called hybrixd. This makes it possible to host your own wallet, be your own bank and have a powerful multi-blockchain system at your fingertips. This Javascript library can be used to connect software to leverage the capabilities of the hybrix platform. It serves two purposes: first to facilitate the logistics of interfacing with the hybrixd REST API, secondly to handle all client-side operations securely and privately. This ensures that keys required for transaction never leave the users device and communication over an encrypted channel. Our web wallet is part of a standard hybrixd node installation. It enables users to store and manage their cryptocurrencies in a completely decentralized way, and is big on privacy, by not storing any user data. You can use the online wallet in your browser on any device (including Android, iOS, macOS and Windows).
