What if you became a cyborg?

in #btc6 years ago (edited)

Want to control things with your mind? Have you ever wanted to hear colors? Or live forever? Becoming a cyborg can become possible. How would dis affect us? Would it be just the next step in evolution?

But this would not be a question of whether to do it, but "when". At least Ion Masks thinks like it . Artificial intelligence is becoming more and more capable every day. Until recently, what appeared to be science fiction has become a daily solution thanks to artificial intelligence. Unfortunately, the consequences will be in the next 50 years artificial. Intelligence will replace most of our works. Just because robots will be better than humans. Ion Masks believe that people simply needed augmentation. Just to be able to compete with robots.

If you choose to become a cyborg, then the first question would be what exactly do you want? Whether they are cyber-eyes, or chips for triggering devices. You might want to replace the whole skeleton with carbon fiber. The possibilities are virtually endless. Human augmentation will allow us to be better at any of the things we do. Both physically and mentally. Imagine you have a mechanical arm. You could throw some further throws in basketball, beat Mike Taison or serve in tennis better than Serena Williams. This is just because the hands will be programmed to do everything better. With two bionic hands you could become a great athlete. Sport would be much different if everyone had it, but the bionic hands could be the ones that would compete with robots.

As for eternal living, it might be possible for you to become a cyborg. If a part of the body stops functioning, it can be replaced with a new one, and it can always be replaced. Such a life could be possible, but hardly you would count a man with the only organic part - mind Wouldn't it be too late to return? Unfortunately, it would be because, becoming a cyborg, the brain would learn to work with an improved part of the body and losing the body part would not know how to operate. If you removed a hearing implant that allowed you to hear like a bat, you wouldn't hear anything. Oh yes, don't forget about the possibility that your body parts may be broken and you will no longer be able to control them. The good or bad news is that nowadays, such improvements are only available to the rich, which does not exclude that in the future artificial body parts will be cheap. However, it does. Money can make it possible to get the latest improvements that can lead to a situation in the future when people divide into one - which is a better cyborg.

Such a perspective may not be pleasing, but it is very likely that we are already on the way to it.
