RE: Make your browser use a proxy server (a different location) on internet

in #browser3 years ago

Is it really safe to use free proxies on the Internet? As far as I remember, initially a proxy is an intermediate server in computer networks, acting as an intermediary between the user and the target server. But what information does the server receive and can it harm the user? I am sure free proxies cannot exist completely for free, there is a person sitting behind each server. Although even if these factors are not taken into account, free proxies are slow and of poor quality. Most often, connection problems are due to the fact that the server uses a bunch of users at once at the same time. Well, in any case, thanks for the useful guide on how to configure a web proxy. I'm sure many people will find your guide useful.
