WINDY COOL NYC MARCH DAY MILD SUNDAY AHEAD

Good morning. The wind machine continues through the canyons of New York City today before we slowly dial things down tonight. Meanwhile, we have a gorgeous day ahead tomorrow and our long range is holding rock-steady.
EASTERN SATELLITE


As expected, we have a generally cloudy start todays as the leftovers from our system continue to spin spokes of clouds our way. However, everything is starting to pull away, so we should see some sunshine as the day goes on. Highs will be in the upper 40's to near 50, but it won't feel like it as 15-25mph winds continue, with gusts to 35+ at times.

Winds will begin to settle down tonight and become a steady breeze instead. Clear skies will help dip things into the upper 20's to low 30's in spots to make for a chilly night, but relief is on the way tomorrow.

REGIONAL RADAR


We warm up quick tomorrow and sunny skies will give a helping hand. Expect 55-60 in most areas, with light winds everywhere except the immediate shore. We'll be a touch cooler along the beaches, which is a common occurrence for those of us who live there. Again, we could break 60 in some spots, and those spots will most likely be downtown Brooklyn and interior/northern parts Queens.

We'll have the chance for some rain on Monday, and the clouds/rain will help keep temps in the low 50's. Everything else is holding strong, with a cool Tuesday, then modifying temps as the week goes on. If timed right and our marine layer doesn't play games late week, we could near 60 again on Friday, then break into the 60's (or better maybe?) for Saturday with some front-related mildness.

I continue to see no signs of major spring snowstorms for the NYC area, and we are running very smooth for this time of year spring-wise.
