NYC Warm Wet Outlook
Good morning everyone. Don’t be fooled by the headline, that’s not today. For today, you’re getting what I got yesterday, where parts of the south hardly broke 60° and we had on and off rain all day with cloudy skies. The headline is for late weekend/next week, where we live on the fringe of high pressure well offshore.

Tomorrow, we clear on out and the sun arrives in pieces. Expect sun and clouds and steady WSW winds, highs in the mid 70’s.
For the weekend, at least to start, the sun will be more abundant Saturday, with highs 80-85 in most spots. Cooler at the shore with the sea breeze.
Then, clouds will increase Sunday, we get a little warmer and more humid, and have the slight chance for a shower or storm at any point in the day. Highs Sunday in the mid 80’s, but we could see a few upper 80’s in spots of the sun cooperates.
Starting Sunday, we begin to find ourselves on the fringe of a Bermuda high that’s a little too far to the east. It’ll be warmer than what we’ve experienced, but also wet as moisture rides the edge of the high.
Look for the chance of showers and storms both Monday and Tuesday, with highs for now ranging from 80-85 (cooler at the shore). Wednesday and Thursday may look similar, but we have to wait and see if a front moves through and pushes things south temporarily.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
