Brief Tastes of NYC December Move In And Out
Good morning everyone. We have a fairly quiet stretch stretch ahead till Tuesday, when another system will help usher in more December-like air and the prospect of mixed-precip. Other than that, the forecast is easy, but temporarily cold.

Clouds are long gone with that sweeping cold front now off in the Atlantic. Cold air has moved in, and we have a taste of mid-winter on our hands with the sun doing nothing to help. Look for sunny skies, windy conditions, and highs only in the upper 30's to near 40.
We'll hold onto the sunny skies and cold temps tomorrow, but at least the wind subsides. Highs tomorrow will be in the low 40's, still approx. 15 degrees below average.
We quickly modify on Sunday after two days of December. A mix of sun & clouds will represent "warmer" air as we get almost to average. Highs will be in the low to mid 50's depending on how much sun we get.
Another quiet and dry one is on tap for Veteran's Day Monday, but clouds will begin to increase ahead of the next system. Mid 50's should cover most of the area.
We'll have the chance of rain by sunrise Tuesday, and rain should be with us on and off for much of the day. Just like yesterday, we'll have the chance of some mixed precipitation before everything comes to an end. I really don't see anything that impresses me right now, but we'll keep an eye on it all for any changes. As of now, a cold rain could mix in with some flakes overnight Tuesday as precipitation begins to cut off.
Late December-like air will move back in, then stick around a couple of days before modifying again ahead of whatever system is next.
